How do I add or suspend SIM cards on the SIMcontrol service?

Prepaid SIMs

You can add or suspend SIMs directly on the SIMcontrol website. Because there are no contracts on the prepaid tariff you can add or suspend SIMs as needed.

Before adding a SIM, its best to make sure you have set up recharge rules. This allows you to also link a recharge rule when adding a SIM. You can also do this later if you wish.

To add SIMs:

- Go to the "SIMs" tab

- Click on "Add SIMs"

- Choose the mobile network or APN, then insert (paste) the tel numbers (MSISDN), followed by a comma, followed by a custom SIM description (optional - this can be any reference you choose). Each MSISDN should be on a new line.

- If you want to directly link them to a recharge rule while adding, choose the recharge rule and save. If you don't want to link them to a rule, do not select a rule.

- Click on Add SIMs

To suspend a prepaid SIM:

- Go to the "SIMs" tab

- Search for the SIM and click on the SIM number (MSISDN)

- Move the SIM Status slider to "Suspended"

To suspend SIMs in bulk:

1) Go here for instructions on how to suspend SIMs in bulk.

If you need to add or suspend specific lists groups of SIMs simply send these to our support team at support@flickswitch.co.za

Contract (on-billed) SIMs

To add SIMs:
- Go to the "SIMs" tab

- Click on "Add SIMs"

- Choose the mobile network or APN, then insert (paste) the tel numbers (MSISDN), followed by a comma, followed by a custom SIM description (optional - this can be any reference you choose). Each MSISDN should be on a new line.

- If you want to directly link them to a recharge rule while adding, choose the recharge rule and save. If you don't want to link them to a rule, do not select a rule.

- Click on Add SIMs

To cancel contract and suspend SIMs in bulk:

Onbilled contract SIMs can not be immediately suspended on the platform, as the contract needs to be cancelled with the mobile network. Request contract cancellation on the platform - More details here.

Notice periods apply as per the SIM's network tariff.
