What is the difference between a Usage Rule and a Scheduled Rule?

There are two types of Recharge Rules:

Usage Rule

On some networks, you can set up a "Usage Rule". This means that SIMcontrol will monitor the balance of the SIMs daily, and process recharges as per your rule when the balance is below the minimum Threshold. (Examples: Vodacom SA, Airtel Kenya, MTC Namibia)

Scheduled Rules

On all networks, you can set up a "Scheduled Rule". This means that the SIMs on that rule will recharge according to the schedule set up on the rule, i.e. once per week, once per month etc. There is no daily balance monitoring on these networks and SIMcontrol will not show airtime or data balances. (Examples: MTN SA, CellC, Telkom, Safaricom, MTN Nigeria)

If there is no funds available in your account, the recharges will fail. If you would like us to run the rule again at a later stage (i.e. once your account has been funded), please contact our support team and they will trigger the recharges.

Schedule Rules allows the user to load any of the products available on the platform in a schedule manner, i.e: Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Yearly

A SIM can be linked to multiple rules (Usage or Scheduled) at the same time.
