Where can I see the status of my recharges? What does the status mean?

You can view the status of all recharges under the "Reports" tab on the SIMcontrol website. You can also see the status of recharges on a SIM's detail screen.

Recharge Request StatusResult
Success
Recharge was successful.
Failed
Recharge failed. The recharge amount has been refunded to your account.
Some networks also show the reason for failure. Possible causes are: Incorrect network chosen, contract SIM, network downtime.
Pending
SIMcontrol has accepted the recharge but it has not yet successfully been submitted to the Network. If you try to recharge while the number has a recharge Pending, the system will not allow another recharge until the Pending recharge has been submitted to the network. This is to avoid double-recharges. Generally the recharge should not be in Pending state for more than 15 minutes.
 Submitted
SIMcontrol has submitted the recharge to the network and waiting for a response. In South Africa the recharge can be in Submitted state for up to 24 hours on Vodacom, Telkom and Cell C networks. Under normal conditions the recharge should be in Submitted state for not more 30 seconds. Under high recharge load it can take up to 5 minutes. Usually when there are issues on the network the recharge can stay in submitted state for a few hours.

The SIM has typically already received the data or airtime recharge (and will work). It is just the recharge status that has not been updated. The recharge amount will be refunded to the account if the recharge fails within 48 hours. Else it will be assumed that the recharge is successful.
