What is the MTN " Universal " 1MB Data Bundle ?

MTN has introduced a universal 1MB bundle that will be automatically be given to SIMs who have Out-Of-Bundle usage barred by default. (Prepaid and Contract SIMs). This bundle will unbar these SIMs.


The Universal 1MB bundle @ R0.40c is applied as follows: 


• The Universal 1MB bundle @ 40c will be automatically loaded to a SIM and charged from the SIM's airtime balance.
• The Universal bundle will automatically be re-provisioned
• The Universal 1MB bundle at 40c will deplete at 25kb increments


When the customer Opt’s-Out of Out-of-Bundle data (barred) the customer will be presented with the following options:
- Opt-in or Opt-out of out-of-bundle usage
- Purchase another Data bundle


The Once-off 1MB @ R0.40c bundle will be applied as follows:
• The Once-off 1MB Data Bundle bundle can be purchased on the following self help channel: USSD - *136*2*999#
• The Once-off 1MB can be a once-off or recurring bundle
• The Once-off 1MB bundle will be valid for 30 days
• The purchase of this bundle cannot extend the validity of any other purchased Data
bundles


Subscribers will have to dial *135*6# to opt out of this new auto-renewing bundle
