SIM Activation:

Cell C SIMs need to be activated individually by inserting the SIM in a handheld device. 


SIM supply:

Flickswitch can supply, RICA and activate Cell C SIMs. Lead times are typically 3 - 5 business days + shipping. 



RICA Registration:

SIMs cannot be activated if RICA registration is not completed successfully. 

Flickswitch can bulk register SIMs for RICA.


Documents needed for RICA: 

- Company letterhead with physical address and VAT registration number included

- Copy of a Directors ID 



SIM Expiry (number recycling):

Cell C SIMs will expire after 90 days of no usage from the SIM. 

If a SIM is only recharged, however not used the SIM will expire and the number will be recycled. 

Once a SIM is deleted and or expired and the number recycled the SIM needs to be discarded of as it can no longer be used. 



Cell C SIM Swaps:

Self-Service IVR > Dial 084140 from a landline or any other cellphone (You need to have an active Self-Service PIN); option 1 for "Manage"; "SIM Swop".

Go to any Cell C store and request a SIM Swop.

Dial 084140 OR 140 & option 9 to speak to an agent.



Balance Check Cell C SIM: 

Cell C Mobile App > Check balances on the home screen.

Self-Service IVR > Dial 140; option 1 for "Manage"; option 1 for "View Remaining Balance and Usage".

USSD > Dial *101# OR Dial *147#; option 2.

Call 141 > Dial 141; option 0 for "Balance Enquiry".

SMS > SMS 'bal' or "balance" to 14302.

Cell C Website > Login to Self-Service on www.cellc.co.za.

Call 140 > Dial 140 & option 9 to speak to an agent.
