SIM Expiry (number recycling)
IMPORTANT Update on MTC Expiry from MTC - SIM Card Lifecycle
Please be advised that your SIM card remains active for a period of 60 days from the date of your last recharge. To maintain its active status, you must recharge at least once every 60 days.
If no recharge is made within this period, the SIM card will move into an Expired state, where it will remain for 60 days. During this time, you may still reactivate the SIM card by performing an indirect recharge, such as recharging through your bank or using a USSD recharge option.
If no recharge is performed during the 60-day expired period, the SIM card will enter a Deactivated state. In this state, reactivation is still possible; however, it must be done in person at any MTC MobileHome outlet or authorized MTC dealership. The SIM card will remain in the deactivated state for an additional 60 days.
If no action is taken within this timeframe, the SIM card will enter a Cancelled state. Once cancelled, the SIM card and associated number can no longer be recovered.
Keep-alive options
To keep a SIM active on the network, there must be a recharge at least every 60 days - I.e. Set up a Scheduled Recharge rule to recharge SIMs every 55 days.
