VoLTE (Voice over LTE, also called “HD Voice”) is a service available to certain smartphones & devices that allows for traditional voice calls to be terminated over the 4G/LTE network as opposed to the traditional older 2G and 3G networks. It still uses normal airtime/minutes.

As networks plan to retire their 2G and 3G CDMA networks in favour 4G and 5G, customers with CDMA-only devices will be required to upgrade their voice devices to VoLTE by the shutoff date.
This service needs to be provisioned/activated on individual SIMs. This service can only be provisioned on specific SIM tariffs for SIMs being managed on SIMcontrol (such as the Business Flexi SIM type).
