SIMcontrol users can get a quick summary of a SIM's current status and balances via our simple WhatsApp tool.
This is a handy tool for field workers or SIM administrators to instantly access SIM health information.
The SIM being queried needs to be active on one of the user's SIMcontrol accounts.
How does it work?
Simply send the SIM identifier to the SIMcontrol WhatsApp channel, and it wil return key SIM health information. Click on "View SIM" to be directed to that SIM's detailed profile page.
SIMs on the Managed Private APN will also return session status.
Setting up WhatsApp access on SIMcontrol
Step 1:
- Go to your user Profile settings on SIMcontrol
- Add your mobile number and save.
Step 2:
- Scroll down to the WhatsApp section on the profile page
- Open Whatsapp on your phone and click the camera icon.
- Scan the QR code with your mobile phone camera and follow the WhatsApp prompts
Step 3:
- You will get a conformation message to start using the service.
- Submit any SIM identifier (MSISDN or ICCID) to get a SIM Health Check.
